This class will offer a basic overview of the German language and include verbs, present/past tense, sentence structure, and typical phrases.
Learn the basics of hardware and software. Learn how to navigate the Windows desktop and File Explorer, create Microsoft Word documents, prepare PowerPoint slideshows using creative imagination, produce Excel spreadsheets and charts, and successfully and safely browse the Internet. Students will use their college email and the Canvas online learning system for accessing their class content and submitting in-class assignments. Resources and supports for college students will be explored.
This class will offer a basic overview of the Spanish language and include verbs, present/past tense, sentence structure, and typical phrases. Class Notes: Technical language/words will be included as well in support of the industry guests within the class.
This class is for students at the high beginning level of English language acquisition in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will learn vocabulary and grammar to talk and write about themselves, their family & friends, school objects, schedules & activities, health problems, locations in the community, food quantities & prices, work schedules & skills, and free time activities. Students will practice present tenses in simple sentences and questions. Simple past tense and paragraph writing are introduced at this level.
This class is for students at the low intermediate level of English language acquisition in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will learn vocabulary and grammar to describe people, clothing styles, educational and job goals, accidents & safety issues, travel, and household repairs. Students will practice present, past, and future tenses in simple sentences, questions, and short paragraphs. Language for giving advice and making comparisons is introduced at this level.
This class is for students at the high intermediate level of English language acquisition in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will learn vocabulary and grammar to discuss personality traits, learning strategies, health advice, leisure events, time management, financial advice, job searching, and emergencies. Students will practice reading strategies and use present, past, and future tenses in longer sentences, questions, and paragraphs. Perfect tenses are introduced at this level.
This class is for students at the low advanced level of English language acquisition in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will learn vocabulary and grammar to discuss learning styles, educational plans, generational differences, stress management, volunteering, technology, smart shopping, job applications, dealing with problems at work, environmental issues, and celebratory customs. Students will practice college and career readiness literacy strategies and use present, past, and future tenses in complex sentences, questions, and paragraphs. Passive voice and conditional verb forms are introduced at this level.
The program teaches students the skills and technologies necessary to enter the industry as a Back-End Software Developer. Skills and technologies include Java 1.8, Algorithms, OOP, Design Patterns, Unit Testing, SQL, DDL, DML, Database Concepts, JDBC, Spring Boot, Spring Data, REST, JPA, JWT, AWS, and more. This program consists of three 6-week courses: Introduction to Java, Relational Databases with MySQL, and Web API Design with Spring Boot. In addition to classroom hours, students will also be required to meet, one-on-one, with a mentor each week. To complete the 13-18 hours of weekly homework and content, students must have access to a computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and i5 processor.

Skills and technologies include JavaScript, Algorithms, OOP, Design Patterns, Unit Testing, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, AJAX, ReactJS, JSX, NPM, Redux, and AWS. This program consists of three 6-week courses: Introduction to Java Script, Front End Technologies and Web App design with React JS. In addition to classroom hours, students will also be required to meet, one-on-one, with a mentor each week. To complete the 13-18 hours of weekly homework and content, students must have access to a computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and i5 processor.
