The Energy Industry Employment Test Workshop is designed to prepare a candidate to take employment tests for specific energy industry job families, including power plant operators, maintenance and craft positions, and other positions within the industry. Topics covered include: Test taking techniques, Math, Reading, Mechanical Concepts, and other related subjects.

The program teaches students the skills and technologies necessary to enter the industry as a Back-End Software Developer. Skills and technologies include Java 1.8, Algorithms, OOP, Design Patterns, Unit Testing, SQL, DDL, DML, Database Concepts, JDBC, Spring Boot, Spring Data, REST, JPA, JWT, AWS, and more. This program consists of three 6-week courses: Introduction to Java, Relational Databases with MySQL, and Web API Design with Spring Boot. In addition to classroom hours, students will also be required to meet, one-on-one, with a mentor each week. To complete the 13-18 hours of weekly homework and content, students must have access to a computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and i5 processor.

Skills and technologies include JavaScript, Algorithms, OOP, Design Patterns, Unit Testing, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, AJAX, ReactJS, JSX, NPM, Redux, and AWS. This program consists of three 6-week courses: Introduction to Java Script, Front End Technologies and Web App design with React JS. In addition to classroom hours, students will also be required to meet, one-on-one, with a mentor each week. To complete the 13-18 hours of weekly homework and content, students must have access to a computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and i5 processor.
